About Toss-up

Scheduling for the people you keep seeing.

What Toss-up is

Toss-up is a small scheduling tool for groups that meet again and again. A weekly tennis four, a D&D party, a supper club, a band that rehearses, friends who hike on Saturdays. These groups don't need a new poll every week. They need one place where everyone drops the days they're free, and a clear answer about when the group is on.

Each member taps the days they can make it. Toss-up finds the dates where enough people overlap to actually meet, based on a minimum group size the admin sets. The admin confirms one, everyone is told, and next week starts fresh without anyone having to ask again.

Why it exists

Recurring plans usually die in the group chat. Someone asks what day works, three people answer, one says next week, and the plan quietly stops. Poll tools like Doodle and When2Meet help for one event, but each poll ends when the event does, so the same person ends up rebuilding it every week. Toss-up is built for the group rather than the event, so the schedule rolls forward on its own.

How it works

There are no passwords. You sign in with a link sent to your email. The person who sets up a group is its admin. They choose the activity and the minimum number of people needed, then share an invite link. Members open it, enter their email, and start marking their availability. Toss-up runs in any browser, and there is a free iOS app for iPhone.

Pricing

The Free plan covers one group with a 7-day scheduling window, which is enough for most crews. Plus costs $2.99 a month for three groups and a 28-day window. Pro costs $6.99 a month for up to ten groups. Billing is handled by Polar.sh.

Your data

Toss-up stores your email address, your groups and the availability you enter. We don't use it for advertising and we don't sell it. Other members of a group see your name and your availability for that group, never your email address. You can delete your account and everything in it from your profile page at any time. The privacy policy has the details.
